Questions: 75 – 145 (CAT format)
Attempts: Up to 8/year (45-day wait between attempts)
Validity: NCLEX license holds lifelong validity

Registration Journey

A simple step-by-step guide to register and sit for the NCLEX.

  1. Apply to your chosen Nursing Regulatory Board (NRB)
  2. Register with Pearson VUE and pay fees
  3. Receive ATT (Authorization To Test)
  4. Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE centre
  5. Sit for the NCLEX-RN exam and await results from NRB

Who can apply?

Eligible candidates typically include holders of GNM, P.B.B.Sc, B.Sc or M.Sc in Nursing with a valid home-country nursing license. Specific eligibility may vary by regulatory board.
